For over two decades, pilot Mandy Baskin has been sharing the quiet majesty of flight with Charlottesville. A 2004 UVA graduate with a degree in Biology and Bioethics, Mandy earned her commercial pilot's license at just 23 and founded Monticello Country Ballooning at 25. With over 3,000 flight hours logged, she is one of the few women hot air balloon pilots in the nation.
We focus on the quality of our passengers' experience, not the quantity. Our flights are curated experiences over the rolling hills of the Monticello countryside, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the Shenandoah Valley — where the air is still and the world feels brand new.
